HooklyAI vs SuperGrow (2026): the $19 suite and the proof tool, compared

SuperGrow and HooklyAI are close cousins: similar size, similar individual-creator focus, and an uncomfortable amount of feature overlap — including one row (first-comment) where both products genuinely ship. This page compares them the way we would want a rival to compare us: real pricing math, a matrix that concedes what SuperGrow does well, and every claim dated and sourced. If SuperGrow is the better tool for you, the closing section says so plainly.

What SuperGrow does well

Credit first, because it is earned. SuperGrow's Starter plan at $19/month is one of the fairest entry prices in this niche, and it is not stripped to the bone: Content DNA voice learning, post repurposing, scheduling with an official LinkedIn login, a kanban board, and auto first-comment are all included on both plans. Reviews from 2026 consistently describe the scheduling as clean and the entry price as fair value — and our own crawl of their pricing page supports that reading.

The feature overlap with HooklyAI is real, and we say so: they ship an automated first-comment capability, which is the same job our first-comment generator does (theirs automated and included on all plans; ours offers 6 styles x 5 tones and arrives scored). They also ship Content DNA voice learning — shipped before ours went live (October 1, 2026, Elite-only with voice-consistency scoring; theirs is free on every plan) — plus repurposing, a carousel maker on Pro, podcast-style AI interviews, and a $139/month Teams plan covering 4 accounts. For a founder managing an executive's LinkedIn, that team plan is a real answer and we do not have one.

What their plans do not include, as far as we could find on supergrow.ai in September 2026, is any published scoring calibration — no rubric, no score bands, no quality gates. That is the row where this whole comparison turns, and the proof section below shows why.

The pricing frame, with real math

Prices below were checked on October 1, 2026 from supergrow.ai/pricing and hooklyai.com/pricing. Both companies publish their numbers openly, which makes this one of the cleaner comparisons on our list.

Scoring on freeTrial-only; no published calibrationIncluded on every generation
Entry paidStarter $19/mo ($16/mo billed annually → $192/yr)Pro founding $14.50/mo, locked for life ($174/yr)
Standard paidPro $39/mo ($31 annually) · Teams $139/mo for 4 accountsPro $29/mo ($348/yr) · Elite $39/mo

At entry, SuperGrow Starter annually billed ($16/mo) undercuts our founding price ($14.50/mo) by exactly nothing — $14.50 is still $1.50 cheaper, but at that distance the honest answer is a tie on price, decided by what you value: their voice learning and repurposing versus our published rubric and hard gates. At Pro, $39 vs $14.50 founding is a $24.50/month gap and we will happily make that case.

The free-tier difference is the sharper one. SuperGrow's pricing page offers a 7-day trial, not a permanent free tier. HooklyAI's free plan is permanent — 30 scored generation requests a month, every one arriving with a calibrated 1–100 score and a rationale. If you are deciding whether AI-assisted LinkedIn content works for you at all, 30 free scored attempts a month beat a one-week window with any tool, theirs included.

Source note: SuperGrow capabilities as described on supergrow.ai/pricing crawled October 1, 2026 (plan inclusions, FAQ). HooklyAI capabilities as shipped on hooklyai.com on October 1, 2026. Where a cell says “not shipped yet,” that is a HooklyAI roadmap item, not a rival weakness — we do not score planned features as won.

One inconsistency, quoted factually

Marketing sites drift; our own repair log proves it happens to everyone. This item is documented because buyers deserve accurate numbers — quoted, not mocked, and easy to re-verify:

  • The individual price, two ways. On a SuperGrow comparison page crawled October 1, 2026, the individual price is described as “$99/year against $19/month.” On supergrow.ai/pricing the same day, Starter is $19/month with a 20% annual discount — $16/month, which is $192/year, not $99. Either the comparison page carries stale copy or the $99/year is a special offer the pricing page does not surface. Both statements are quoted exactly as found; if the $99/year is real, it changes the entry-price math above meaningfully — check both pages before buying.

Proof you can check, not badges you must trust

SuperGrow's suite is real and fairly priced — nothing in this section disputes that. The difference between the two products is an evidence difference. HooklyAI's scorer publishes its full rubric: the seven dimensions, what average posts should score (45–55, and we say why), and the hard gates that cap engagement bait and external-link stuffing at 60 no matter how polished the writing is. We found no published calibration on supergrow.ai as of September 2026.

That matters because a score you cannot interrogate is just a number. Ours comes with the math:

Six published dimensions, hard quality gates, methodology in the open. How scoring works

Choose SuperGrow if…

…you want voice-matched generation and repurposing at a fair entry price, today. If Content DNA-style voice learning, an automated first comment, and deeply automated repurposing are your must-haves, SuperGrow ships them starting at $19/month ($16 annually). HooklyAI now ships a blog repurposer and a carousel maker too, but with less automation — and voice learning is still a roadmap item on our side, and this page does not score promises as features.

Choose SuperGrow especially if you are managing LinkedIn for a small team: the $139/month Teams plan covers 4 accounts with an admin dashboard, and we have no multi-account answer today. That alone can decide this comparison.

Choose HooklyAI instead if you want your content measured against a rubric you can read: calibrated scores with rationale, hard gates that stop engagement bait, a permanent free tier (30 scored requests a month, not a 7-day trial), and a profile optimizer that scores and rewrites all 8 profile elements. The price at entry is close enough to be a tie; the evidence layer is not close at all. Pick us for the proof, not the feature count.
